Michigan Ski Blog – Snow Reports

XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/05

A showing of sun late yesterday after all the snow.

We received 3 to 4 inches of fresh powder yesterday, which is what groomer Henry will need to make all 8 trails ideal. He will snow comb all the skating lanes and set fresh tracks. Trails have a 10 to 13 inch base and there is 14 to 19 inches of snow in the woods. With the cooler temps overnight, the snowpack has firmed up and make for a great day and weekend of skiing!

Forecast:

Today: Mainly cloudy with snow showers around this morning. High 27F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 40%.

Tonight: Cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Low 18F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High around 30F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Today’s lunch special is Gourmet Grilled Cheese! Provolone and swiss cheese layered with pesto and sliced tomato on a ciabatta bun, panini grilled to perfection. Served with chips and a pickle. Mmm!

Another great weekend of XC skiing has started!
