XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/29
We received a heavy dusting of snow yesterday during the day, and expect the same again this morning. Groomer Henry will snow comb all the skate lanes early this morning, and will re-set tracks where the wind blown snow has filled in the existing tracks. We now have a 8 to 11 inch base and there is 14 to 18 inches of snow in the woods. It should be another fine day of skiing.
Forecast:
Today: Snow showers this morning. Becoming partly cloudy later. High 21F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.
Tonight: Cloudy. Snow showers developing late. Some mixed winter precipitation possible. Low 17F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.
Saturday: Some mixed winter precipitation possible early. Mostly cloudy with snow showers during the morning. High 39F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 50%.
