XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/21

Skiing at dawn is one of the best ways to start your day! “Nature’s first green is gold. Her hardest hue to hold.”

“Like skiing on silk” and “The best skating conditions in my last twenty years of skiing here” were just two of the many positive comments from smiling skiers yesterday. We’ve been very lucky with ideal snow density and temperatures (and meticulous grooming!) to allow for firm tracks and fast skating lanes. Groomer Henry will Ginzu snow comb all the skating lanes early this morning. It should be another fantastic day of skiing.

Forecast:

Today: Overcast. High 27F. Winds light and variable.

Tonight: Cloudy. Low near 15F. Winds light and variable.

Friday: A mix of clouds and sun early, then becoming cloudy later in the day. High 27F. Winds light and variable.

Friday Night: Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. Low 13F. Winds light and variable.

Back by popular demand, today’s lunch special is the Ryan Wrap! Double cheese, pesto, bell peppers, spinach, tomato, red onion, hummus and chipotle mayo on a giant wrap, grilled to melty, crispy perfection and served with chips and a pickle! We also have some delicious, fresh baked chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies which every skier should try at least once!

Come Ski With Us!

Lynne, Bob, Mariah, Stu, Fran, Brian, Erin, Matt V., Ryan, Lexi, Gage, Matt B., Shania and the crew
