Shanty Creek Snow Report – 01/11

Monday, January 11

Today’s report is brought to you by the letter “S”. More specifically, S-N-O-W! We have received 12+ of new snow since Saturday evening and conditions on the slopes are amazing! We hope you’ll come join us for first tracks today because there is a bunch of POWDER calling your name!

19 runs and and four lifts (yellow, purple, pink and the Magic Carpet) will be available at Schuss Mountain today. Please note, there will be some lane closures on Kingdom Come (the face) today as we welcome the Grayling High School Ski Invitational to the slopes of Schuss Mountain. Please be aware snow conditions may be thin near the edges of the trails. Please ski and ride with care.

Today’s weather forecast calls for 1-3″ of snow accummulation. Windy. High temperatures will be around 15 degrees. We will continue to make snow as conditions allow.

All 30km of our Nordic trails have been rolled and trails have been trackset where deeper base occurs. Please check with the Nordic Center for the most up to up to date trail conditions. Our 5km Fat Biking/Snowshoeing trail is also available.
