XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/07
Our trails are still in great shape. We have 6 to 8 inches of snow in the woods and 4 to 5 inches packed on the the trails. Groomer Henry will start Ginzu snow combing all the skating lanes and resetting the tracks where needed early this morning. All trails have firm tracks set and are wide, fast, snowcomed skating lanes. Very good to excellent conditions prevail on all trails, even though there are some pesky oak leaves and pine needles down in a few places. Snow is coming!!
Today: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the morning. High near 35F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 40%.
Tonight: Cloudy. Low 27F. Winds light and variable.
Tomorrow: Areas of freezing rain early. High around 35F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precip 50%.
Saturday & Saturday night: Cloudy with a chance of showers, turning into snow later in the day. High of 30F, low of 23F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 100%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches.
Sunday & Sunday night: Snow during the morning will give way to windy conditions during the afternoon with some light snow. High around 25F. Winds NW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 100%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected during the day, 3 to 5 inches of snow expected at night.
Today’s lunch special is the Classic Ham panini. Black Forest ham, tomatoes, spinach and swiss on Stone House bread with stone ground mustard grilled to perfection by chef Erin.
Of course there will also be Famous Chili served with a multigrain roll, Bosco Sticks, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies, fresh muffins and Starbucks coffee!
