XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/05
The trails are in excellent shape. We received a bit more snow throughout the day yesterday, and Groomer Dana went out last night to snow comb the skating lanes and re-set tracks where needed. Everything groomed up beautifully, which will make for another great day of skiing today.
Today: A mix of clouds and sun early followed by cloudy skies this afternoon. High 28F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: Cloudy skies this evening will become partly cloudy after midnight. Low 22F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy. High 34F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.
Today’s Stone Turtle Day Lodge Lunch Special is Bob’s Favorite Tuna Melt! Albacore tuna, jalepenos, black olives, sliced tomato, spinach, and swiss cheese grilled and served hot on a ciabatta bun. Served with Great Lakes Potato Chips and a pickle. Of course there will also be Bosco Sticks, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies, and fresh muffins to help fuel your day on the trails.
With chilly temps this morning, why not try a new XC ski jacket, like The North Face Thermoball Hybrid? Feather-light insulation with body-mapped Polartec stretch fleece gives you the ultimate combo of breathability, stretch, and cozy warmth without the weight. These and all of our XC ski jackets are on sale!
Time to get outside for yet another beautiful Pure Michigan day to XC Ski.
