Boyne Mountain Snow Report – 01/05

Oh what a difference a good week can make from Mother Nature! Thanks to the recent snowfall which has provided over a foot of pure powder, and more recently the cool temperatures that allowed our crews to operate our Boyne Low-E fan guns at full capacity, Boyne Mountain Resort is now offering the most skiable terrain in the state! With over 230 skiable acres available spread across 36 runs, there’s plenty of variety, and we’re adding more almost daily!  Lifts are spinning today from 9am-4:30pm. Catch the first chair and play on our fresh corduroy! For today’s prices, be sure to visit our lift ticket page.

The BOYNE Low-E fan guns started churning out snow yesterday afternoon and should be able to keep firing through Wednesday, where we will return to nightly efforts!

If you’re looking for the absolute best deal on skiing and riding right now, grab a Frequent Skier Rider Card and ski/ride FREE all week through Friday, January 8!  In total, your Frequent Skier Rider Card offers two free weeks of skiing and riding, plus save up to $25 on every lift ticket you purchase this winter!

Looking ahead: We will continue to focus on expanding our available terrain in the Disciples Ridge area as we seek to open the Disciples II lift for the weekend. Our current snowmaking efforts are set on the North Boyne/Express slopes, Ramshead Park, and now the Tubing Park, which we should be able to open soon.

We will focus on stocking Ramshead with enough snow to build our annual park and should have a date for our first build later this week. Depending on the current status of our base on N. McLouth, we may start to build features later this this week.

Off the slopes: Don’t forget about Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark! With 88,000 square feet of wet and wild fun for all ages, the park stays at a toasty 84 degrees year-round! Schedule a Zipline Adventure Tour to see the resort from a whole different angle! We have tons of great ways to have fun here at Boyne Mountain Resort!
