Michigan Ski Blog – Snow Reports

XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/04

Trail ready to be Ginzu groomed this morning.

We received almost an inch of fresh powder last night, just enough to bury the oak leaves that have blown into the tracks. The fresh powder is also what our groomer needs to freshen up the tracks and snowcomb the skating lanes with this morning. All trails have plenty of snow on them, have nice tracks set, the skating lanes are Ginzu groomed and snowcombed and all are in very good to excellent condition.

Nearby trails here in the Heart of Pure Michigan are also in great shape including Hanson Hills in Grayling and the Mason Track trail that follows the South Branch of the AuSable which has fresh tracks set.

Todays high is forecast to be 15F with scattered snow showers this morning. Tomorrow’s high is forecast to be 28F.

Today’s lunch special is Pesto Perfection: your choice of sliced oven roasted turkey or hummus & double cheese, with layers of basil pesto, spinach, tomato, bell peppers, red onion and provolone grilled perfectly on 9 grain Stone House Bread and served with Great Lakes chips and a big pickle. Bon appetit!
