Winter has arrived at Shanty Creek! With over 9″ of snow falling in the last 48 hours (and more snow expected to fall today!), we’ve opened up several new runs, bringing our open run count to 10, serviced by the yellow, purple and Magic Carpet lifts. We will continue to open more terrain as conditions permit. Stay tuned.

As our open terrain is limited, we have adjusted holiday rates accordingly. Please see below for holiday week lift ticket and rental pricing updates.

Today’s weather forecast calls cloudy skies mixed with some light snow showers. We anticipate another 1-2″ of new snow daily through Friday. Great snowmaking conditions exist and we are continuing to make snow at every opportunity. Currently, our snowmaking efforts are focused on opening The Face, Good Knight, Chicken’s Choice, and Purple Daze.

Our base is approximately 30″, but please be aware: snow conditions remain soft with thin areas near the edges of the trails. Please ski and ride with care.

For more family fun, there are four lanes available at the Alpine Tubing Park at Summit Mtn. Tubing will be available daily throughout holiday week from 10a-10p.
