XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/16

Another chilly morning. As of 6:30am it is -7. Yesterday was a great day of skiing despite the cold, because there was no wind and it was beautifully sunny! Today will not be much warmer, but XC skiers still manage to stay warm and enjoy the forest even when it’s cold! Groomer Henry will start grooming early this morning and will Ginzu snowcomb the skating lanes on all the trails. The fresh tracks from yesterday are still in very good shape.

These XC skiers are so hearty, they sat around a bonfire in -4 degrees!
