Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 03/08

A tale of two seasons. Late winter and spring approaching makes for changing conditions daily. Chilly temps, firm and fast trail in the morning. Warmer temps, maybe some sun even and softer trail in the afternoon. We are planning to groom everything we can, maybe even all the way to Hartwick Pines. Could be the last full system groom. Shop open 9 to 5.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Update for this coming weekend: We don’t expect to be able to groom up the trails on Thursday due the heavy rain expected overnight on Tuesday and Wednesday and we will be closed on Thursday. We will get back to grooming up some of the trails again on Friday. We expect most of the base to survive, but some areas may open up in the more vulnerable areas, like the recent clear cut on the state land. We will update again after the rain stops on Thursday.
Founder’s Day is scheduled for March 15th. #forbush #SkiMichigan

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> What a great weekend. All 30k available and some of the best conditions of the season. Fresh groom on the east side planned for today.
For note, this the last Monday that we will be open. We expect to be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not sure what will have left after the heavy rains and warm temperatures predicted for this week, but we expect the man made snow trails Ridge, 240 loop and Linda’s Link will survive. #forbush #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichiganWhat a great weekend.
