The Highlands Snow Report – 01/08

Let it SNOW! We received 1 inch of fresh powder last night, and the temperatures are favorable for our snowmakers! The conditions here in Harbor Springs remain excellent, and we continue to have the MOST TERRAIN OPEN in Michigan, featuring 41 trails and hundreds of acres ready to explore. (Today we are adding Bucky’s and The Gulch on the North side.)

Funland Park is open with 9 features – 6 Jibs and 3 jumps. Shred It!

Ski School is open daily, with morning, and a full-day kids camp, private and group lessons.

The Adventure Center is also available for extra fun, with zipline, sno-go, and equestrian.

The Nordic Center is open for snowshoe, and fat tire biking.

Here is what you can expect today:

Lift Hours: 9 AM – 9:00 PM
Night Skiing: Wednesday – Saturday: 4:30 – 9:00 PM
On Wednesday and Thursday nights enjoy discounted lift tickets ($25) and rentals ($15) during our Slopes after Sundown promotion.
Be sure to stop by the Brew Bar and Food Market for $5 beers and $5 pizza slices. Large pizzas will be 40% off.

Lifts: ALL lifts are open! This includes Camelot 6 (the fastest lift in Michigan & it is heated!), Heather Express, Challenger, Interconnect (brand new 3-person chairlift), Amy’s, North Face, Renate’s Express, Magic Carpet

Trails: 41 trails and 2 terrain parks are open. Take a look at the trail status below for the full line-up.

Additionally, the newly opened Interconnect lift makes your journey to North Peak faster and more comfortable! Lunch and beverages are available Thursday through Sunday from 10 AM – 2:30 PM at North Peak. The Camelot 6 bubble chairlift, which debuted last season and is the fastest lift in the Midwest, offers heated seats for a warm and cozy ride on the south end!

Winter moments at The Highlands are where traditions begin! Looking ahead to January and February there is a lot to look forward with a winter market, races, and special events. You can check our full event schedule on our website for everything to look forward to.

A little extra bonus – all season passholders and Ikon receive up to 20% off lodging at the resort. If you are not a season passholder and lodge at our resort, you receive up to 20% off lift tickets.
