The Highlands Snow Report – 01/01
Happy New Year!
Thank you to everyone who joined us in ringing in the New Year! We hope you are enjoying some time off during winter break.
Our conditions here in Harbor Springs remain favorable and in great condition. We are patiently waiting for a fresh coat of snow on our hills as lake effect snow is coming to the region.
We currently have the MOST TERRAIN OPEN in Michigan! We are beyond excited to have nearly 100% of our terrain open, with 40 trails and hundreds of acres ready to explore.
Night skiing is back every night through January 4th. On January 2nd, Red Bull will be on-hill with a DJ spinning tunes and giving samples from 4 – 7 PM.
Funland Park is now open with 9 features – 6 Jibs and 3 jumps. Shred It!
Additionally, the newly opened Interconnect lift makes your journey to North Peak faster and more comfortable! The Camelot 6 bubble chairlift, which debuted last season and is the fastest lift in the Midwest, features heated seats, ensuring a warm and cozy ride on the south end!
Our Ski School is open daily, with a full-day kids camp, private lessons, and group lessons.
Our Adventure Center is also available for extra fun, with zipline, sno-go, and equestrian.
Here is what you can expect today:
Lift Hours: 9 AM – 9 PM
Lifts: ALL lifts are open! This includes Camelot 6 (the fastest lift in Michigan & it is heated!), Heather Express, Challenger, Interconnect (brand new 3-person chairlift), Amy’s, North Face, Renate’s Express, Magic Carpet
Trails: 40 trails and 2 terrain parks are open. Take a look at the trail status below for the full line-up.
Winter moments at The Highlands are where traditions begin! You can check our full event schedule on our website for everything going on.
A little extra bonus – all season passholders and Ikon receive up to 20% off lodging at the resort. If you are not a season passholder and lodge at our resort, you receive up to 20% off lift tickets.
Keep an eye on our Mountain Report and social media for updates, or sign-up for our email newsletter. We will see you out on the slopes soon!
