Ski Michigan

FROM Caberfae Peaks >> What’s New Wednesday at #caberfaepeaks
The snowmaking improvements continue with the drilling of a new 12 inch, 300’ snowmaking well.
The additional well allows for more water to flow into the cooling reservoirs/holding ponds to adequately supply the new snowmaking pump with plenty of water. #flintwelldrilling
The majority of the source water is stored as snow on our ski hills over the winter and returns to the streams and ground water in the spring.
We sure are looking forward to making some snow soon! #caberfaepeaks #whatsnew #SkiMichigan

FROM Caberfae Peaks >> “What’s New Wednesday” at #caberfaepeaks
With new power lines feeding our ski area, we are going all in on snowmaking with the addition of a 300HP vertical turbine snowmaking pump. The pump will increase our pumping capacity by 33%, which means 33% more snow!
The new pump and motor had to be installed via crane through a roof hatch in our pump house.
We can’t wait to put the new equipment to the test and turn the hills white in no time… #caberfaepeaks #whatsnew #SkiMichigan
