Crystal Mountain Snow Report – 02/02
CLIPPER UPDATE: We are excited to share good news about the planned re-opening of the Crystal Clipper Quad chairlift! But first, a huge ‘thank you’ to our mechanics team, the Leitner-Poma manufacturing team and North Country Alpine Services who have been working day and night to repair the Clipper. The team is replacing the bullwheel bearings, which requires removing the approximately 5,000-pound bullwheel.
Our goal is to have the Clipper running this Saturday, February 4. If this changes, we will post an update here on our daily Snow Report. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and look forward to seeing you on the slopes! Shuttles to the backside of the mountain run daily starting at 9am.
RACING: Adult race league is tonight starting at 6:30pm on Cheers to Lou. NASTAR is available today through Sunday from 1-3pm on Cheers To Lou. Day-of registration is held at the windows at the Mountain Adventure Zone or at the top Cheers race shack at the beginning of the race. High school racing will take place today from 4pm-6pm on Buck, Lower Gorge, and Loki.
CONDITIONS: The snow this morning will diminish to a few snow showers this afternoon. Morning high of 27F with temps falling to near 15F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Cloudy skies this evening. A few snow showers developing late. Low 3F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 30%. We’ve been making snow over the past few days, that combined with the recent snowfall should make for a fun day on the slopes!
TERRAIN PARKS: Updated features in Jester’s Alley: The Jr. Rainbow and the Flat Down Box. Our Little Vincent terrain park will be closed for a few days to allow our teams to make snow on the slope and re-build the park. The Pumping Service Pump Track is open on Megan’s Way.
